9/13/11 Fall fishing is here

Middle Provo River is fishing very well at this time and should continue to get better as the temps start to cool; Water levels have dropped to about normal for this time of year. Caddis, hoppers, pmds, baetis are getting the trout on the feed. Good dry-fly action early and afternoons, Nymphing has been very productive as well. Lower Provo River as well and the Weber River have also been fishing well most days.


5/23/11 Summer is almost here

Middle Provo River is fishing good, Flows continue to be around 600cfs at the Dam, Which is a good level for the Mid, A little tougher wading but Fish are eating well most days, baetis nymphs and drys size 18 to 22, Midge emergers and larva size 16 to 22, Sow bugs and scuds size 12 to 22 ,San Juan worms , Prince nymphs and other stone and caddis patterns, Fishing should continue to be productive and get even better as the temps and bigger hatches start to happen next month. The Lower Provo is running very high at this time ,The same patterns will work on the lower Provo, fishing is fair, mostly nymphing and tough wading, be careful, Weber running very high, not good fishing conditions at this time.


3/23/11 SPRING SEASON IS HERE

MIDDLE PROVO RIVER FISHING WELL MOST DAYS. RIVER RUNNING AROUND 315CFS.Fair to good nymphing with great dry-fly action most days. Midge, Buffalo midge (big midge) BWO bring fish up to surface. Parachute Adams,Griffith Gnat, BWO thorax, Baetis Emergers, Zebra midge style patterns size 16 to 22 (The river has been busy, please give everyone some space to enjoy
